Air

The chemistry of the air we breathe is the result of billions of years of photosynthesis (oxygen, 21 %).  Nitrogen (78%) started building up in Earth’s atmosphere three billion years ago, released into the atmosphere through tectonic activities. There are as well 0.95 percent Argon and 0.04 percent Carbon dioxide.
In a perfect balance this allows us to breathe and plants to flourish, as they can metabolize the Nitrogen.
Winds (created through temperature differences, by the sun) are one of the key elements of weather & climates.
Another nourishing quality of the winds is to carry Seeds and Pollen.
Winds can even provide us with Energy drawn from wind turbines. The supply is infinite, and waste free.

The Air quality in Goa
When the percentage of Air components become irregular, due to the influx of harmful gases our
environment becomes polluted.
These harmful elements are hydrocarbon gases, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide, sulphur dioxide, hydrogen
sulphide and some greenhouse gases including carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide and methane.
Reasons for the increase in these gases are primarily through industry emissions. Vehicles contribute to around 35% of air pollution,
in addition to heavy construction activities. As well as these, burning wood-fuel in rural areas for cooking, and the burning of garbage,
including plastics also creates emissions that can directly affect the respiratory tract and knowingly or unknowingly releases many toxic fumes.

This can be remedied with the recycling of plastics which are already in circulation, and eventually finding an alternative material to Plastic.

the optimist expects it to change;
the realist adjusts the sails.”
